BROWNFIELD SITE REDEVELOPMENT
Where many others had failed, EPS successfully negotiated a practical and financially viable remedial solution for a former pesticide factory and quarry, where the underlying Chalk aquifer was recognised as being irrevocably damaged. The Environment Agency had blocked previous schemes on the basis of unacceptable risk to the surrounding environment, but our proposals to cap the site through development and collect all surface water for discharge at a single soakaway location were approved, enabling the site to be redeveloped as a large retail unit.
